A Day's Demise

The
lifeless
clouds
and
cawing
crows
Silhouettes
the
blank
sky
with
dark
shadows
The
aging
sun
swallowed
into
solemn
rest -
falling
asleep
on
nature's
chest.

The
daylight
has
lost
it's
youthful
prime
And
now
the
dark
has
smuggled
in
his
crime;
No
grief
would
suffice -
The
tragedy
of
a
day's
demise.
